Marion grew up in East Point St Phillip and raised by her grandparents Elmira and Harry Dean. They had their own working farm and from a little girl Joyce had her own vegetable patch that she tended to and sold the produce to Market. 

Thats why she came to england she had an allotment and took such pride in her own garden

The long summers would be spent with her great aunts and her grandmother from her father side. Marion enjoyes her time with the Lordes and would talk about it fondly.
